Wim S. : This band / project recently released The Blood The Sin And The Djinn, an album with four and a half songs on which we hear an instrumental djent variant, which can be called quite unique.
It listens as a kind of Yngwie Malmsteen meets Meshuggah. Several classical passages are added (Conjurer) which automatically change into metal structures dominated by double bass drums. The music is played at a high level, that is obvious when you listen to how the songs are performed. Best song is closing track A New Horizon, with oriental female vocals, strong instrumentation, nice dynamics (what a fantastic acceleration halfway!) and a guest solo by Jorgen Munkeby from Norwegian outfit Shining. An interesting release from a good band.
